Mine is a 2018 VA WRX base, I have Blizzaks, WS90 model and they're excellent in deep snow or ice.
I have an AWD Volvo with haldex too and just drove it in a snow storm and only slid unintentionally once. I\u2019m also running all seasons that are 3 peak rated(Falken Aklimate) and once again have had no issues in the wet heavy slick snow going both down and uphill and with heavy foot accelerations on flat ground.
I got 360k on an axle of Bridgestone Ecopia and 300K on the other axle.
Bridgestone has always worked for me. Usually go for 350k+.
I put Falken 520's on my Stinger about a year ago and have been happy. They seem to be wearing well (for such a heavy car)
The oem stock Bridgestone alenza tires that come with the prologue’s are garbage. I replaced the set on my 2024 touring prologue with a set of Pirelli scorpion as3 all weather tires. I got them from discount tire for around $800. So much better and smoother ride now.
I ran Duratracs on my truck for a few seasons and they did fine in the winter. Last season I got a set of Blizzaks for the winter and they're game changing! The Duratracs were good in the winter but the Blizzaks are insanely good! You can't beat a dedicated set of winter tires in my opinion!
My Blizzaks have more tread and I've used them for four seasons now and I noticed last winter that they are absolutely not what they were when I bought them.
Horrible tires
these things are junk. When it’s cool outside they shake. I’m currently 2k miles in and the comfort and everything else is abysmal for a 60k car.
