Tires DUNLOP or DEXTER

I've had them for 2 years now and still have plenty of tread left. I haven't got stuck or had any issues with them. Somewhat slick when taking off on a wet road.

The 999 rear does skid out much easier then the Dunlop American elite, however I like to skid so that is a pro for me. I ran thru 2 Dunlop elites quite quickly. For the record I did like the Dunlop AE, just didn’t like replacing it every season

The Elites are a much better tire and I’m going to miss them when they’re gone.

I run Dunlop American Elites. Mind you, I do so because it’s a good tire - not so much a ‘Made in America’ reason, albeit a plus.

I swapped my Dunlops over to my VA, and in colder temps (dry) they feel harder/slick compared to the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 that was on there. Not sketchy or anything, but I could feel a difference. Temps were about 30°F.

I have the same set of tires and have noticed when my driveway is wet or icy it gets a little squirrelly. I did drive in a snow storm the other day and they did pretty decent, no complaints but they do kinda suck on the ice.

I’ve never had the motorcycle Sportmaxx tires but they weren’t that great for the car version lol.

I only got 30000 on my Dunlop. Any tire is an improvement

I joined here and immediatley saw a dozens of posts about how SHIT the stock Dunlops are at 40F or less and massacres of spanking new WRXs.
