I’ve been through Bridgestones and Pirellis. Last set I put on though are Coopers and they are the longest lasting and most comfortable by far.

Pros: longest lasting, comfortable
Mileage: 40000 km

I went with the cooper ATPII They were $269 a tire at discount over Christmas week. So far just as quiet as the pirellis started out, i have them at 60PSI instead of 48PSI and the efficiency is near enough no difference. They are an LT tire so they are rated for more pressure then the oem’s.

In the mud so far they have done just as well, the on road feel is no different. I really like them, they are M&S rated but not 3peak, all though that seems to not make much of a difference so far in my opinion.

Pros: quiet, good on road feel
Cons: not 3peak rated

If you wanna stay with Cooper's, get the Discoverer AT3S. They are a decent Road Focused All Terrain with good snow and ice ratings. I have them on my truck, and I don't slide around much unless I want it too, yanno what I mean lol.

Pros: good snow and ice ratings

I have dedicated snow tires that go on November 1st and come off April 1st. I don't get stuck. Cooper Evolution Winter are my favorite tread style, but several tire makers have the same tread design. The ones made in Japan are 13/32 deep and ride well.

Pros: ride well, don't get stuck

Yes you have cheap Chinese tires. Starfire's aren't good at anything and Cooper is better but they are still well behind premium tires. The difference is crazy, all seasons (not all created equally) are usually a sketchy mess when conditions get bad but a snow tire will have tons of confidence even on ice.

Pros: tons of confidence on ice
Cons: sketchy mess when bad

A year or two ago I put Cooper Road+Trail on our 4Runner, and I’ve been thrilled. They’re a mild AT so they’re super quiet on the road. I’ve cruised plenty of forest service/dirt/gravel roads and they’ve had good traction, and no damage so far.

Pros: super quiet, good traction

I sized up and really liked that decision. I’m mid though on my cooper discoverer rugged trek. Good wear, lowish noise for a “m/t” (basically at), good not great on dirt, rain performance has been decent, breaking is good, but the snow performance has been just ok.

Pros: good wear, low noise
Cons: snow performance just ok
