Tires Cooper or Sailun
We have been pleased with our Cooper cs5 tires......
I got to field test my Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S tires in the snow this weekend. This is a solid A/T tire, and it's one of the quieter ones on pavement. Handling was awesome; ran them at 25 psi and plowed through small drifts ~12\" high with no issues.
Running 30.9" Cooper A/T3-4S (235/75R17) on 17x8" rims AND a 1.5" lift I wish I had gone bigger on my tires
Monday night, I put Cooper CS3's on the front and balanced the garbage West Lakes that are on the rear. All 4 were surprisingly round and none of the rims bent. I can now get around corners faster dry and wet, and can oversteer the car pretty easily when near the limit.
Cooper Discoverer AT3. Good dry and wet grip. Low road noise. Wheels halfway decent.
I am so tempted to put some Cooper AT/3s on mine. The stock Continentals are not great and I have already picked up two screws in 3 months. I never got any holes in 50k miles on the AT/3s on my Pathfinder.
It finally came down to the Cooper Discoverer AT/3. The reviews I read and watched said it has good wet road traction and does decent off road. My experience for the last 50k miles on them supports that conclusion.
Nothing wrong with Cooper tires. I've the S/Ts on my 2000 4runner years ago. They were amazing.
I love/hate my Discoverer AT3s. Love them for mileage, and noise level. Hate them because now I hear everything else I need to fix.
I bought the RS3-G1s in 205/55R16 for my 2016 Sportwagen (stock was 225/40R18, have also had 195/65R15 snow tires and 195/65R15 LRR all seasons on it) - and they are EXTREMELY rough riding tires compared to any of the other tires, including the 18" P-Zero Neros. I almost pulled the wheels and tires off and listed them for sale within the first 500 miles. I had specifically gone 16" as a reasonable compromise of tire selection, price, looks, comfort, and gas mileage as the 18's had been a ~4MPG hit compared to the 15s, but any dreams of comfort went out the window with the Coopers. YMMV, but I wouldn't buy these again and regret doing so.
