Tires Continental or SUMITOMO

I second the Conti Extremecontacts. I’ve tested many different tires while working as a mechanic, and conti’s have been holding up across different driver types better than anything else in its price range.

I've put DWS06 on my past three vehicles from my daily, to a beater, and now my Z. Best all season performance tire you can get if being able to drive under 40° while having summer performance in the warmer months is what you're looking for. The tread wear is way better than some of the stickier tires out there too and I've found on a stock Z, these tires do hold their own. Can't praise them enough and definitely worth every penny extra.

I have those Continental tires. I like them, but I might not be the best tester. I do spirited drives on the weekends. They're good on turns but I recently started spinning on launches (bought tires summer 2017). Lots of road noise, but doesn't bother me. I bought my car with those tires and bought them again. I have nothing to compare them. That being said... I would give them an 8/10.

They are comparable to the continental road attack 3 , but they are cheaper and last longer , road attack is supposed to be more sticky , but that extra stickyness come in handy only if you have a bike that's significantly stronger than the SV imo.

Continental DWS, best tire for the money in my opinion

So far I think the continentals transition response actually matches MINIs personality better, despite it having lower absolutely grip.

Mines a daily driver and I run continentals for snow and heavy rain. The only way your slipping with them is if your trying to.

Decided to bump it up 5 to 245/40/20 and 275/35/20 and try some Continental ExtremeContact tires. Tested them out and noticed the faster I go the more floaty or the feeling that the car is 30 feet long (aka 1980's boat sized cars). Is this from what I've read that the sidewalls are softer on continental tires?

The only tire brand I never liked was Sumitomo. They were always much narrower than spec and seemed to loose grip when you needed it most.
