Tires Continental or OEM Porsche

Continental Tires

I have those Continental tires. I like them, but I might not be the best tester. I do spirited drives on the weekends. They're good on turns but I recently started spinning on launches (bought tires summer 2017). Lots of road noise, but doesn't bother me. I bought my car with those tires and bought them again. I have nothing to compare them. That being said... I would give them an 8/10.

Pros: good on turns
Cons: lots of road noise

They are comparable to the continental road attack 3 , but they are cheaper and last longer , road attack is supposed to be more sticky , but that extra stickyness come in handy only if you have a bike that's significantly stronger than the SV imo.

Pros: cheaper, last longer
Cons: less sticky

So far I think the continentals transition response actually matches MINIs personality better, despite it having lower absolutely grip.

Continental Tires

I love my Sports. This summer will be my second season on my current set. Only have about 11k on them so far.

The Sports are a phenomenal tire though. They handle my IS38 with ease and boy do they feel amazing in the mountains.

Pros: phenomenal tire, amazing feel

Michelin MXV4 to Continental DWS

DWS superior in everyway except getting bubbles. It would bubble at every pothole. Went to Michelin Premier A/S it was a downgrade in everything except bubbling still better than MXV4

Pros: DWS superior in everyway
Cons: bubbles at every pothole

I have never been a fan of Conti tires, especially anything with "ContiSport" in its name. They come OE on many German marques, and I can't for the life of me figure out WHY other than some smoking back room deal hammered out over loads of pharmaceuticals in the wee hours of the morning. My MK6 felt like a cement truck with its OE Contis. They would flat spot in what seemed like 120 seconds, noisy as all get out and lasted 1/3 of the claimed milage. Ive permanently deformed Contis on my old 05 E55 by just hitting a small chuck hole or bump. This is anecdotal evidence at best, but my money is on the tires being deformed, belt shift or what ever the excuse of the day is.

Cons: noisy, deformed easily, flat spot
