I have Firestone Winterhawk 4, and they are great. Its basically budget version of Blizzaks as they are owned by Bridgestone. I am in central Europe and we have mild and wet winters as well, my driving profile includes everything, I will do 500km on the highway, mountain pass and then city driving and they work perfectly. We have them on 3 cars already. I was thinking about something more premium, but I am perfectly happy with them.
Continental extremecontact sport 02s are gonna be the closest if not the same tire for grip and wear than the PS4Ss at $50 cheaper a tire.
I’ve got the DSW06 on my 22 kn and love them
They’re like a 100$ less per tire then the ps4s
And they hook up for the power level I’m at ????
Put down a 5.49 0-60 in 95 degree heat
The PS4S is a good summer street tire. Its competitor is going to be the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02. Both are great tires.
30,000. Swapped for continental crosscontact lx25
On my last RAV4 I went with Continental Cross Contact, those were great as well.
I replaced them with Continentals. I love Continentals. I’ve always had great luck with them on my Audis, which tended to chew up tires in short order.
I previously had the Michelin PS4S and the noise and ride were pretty good, noise was most noticeable on concrete roads. In December I changed to the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 and they are quieter and ride better than the PS4S, ride quality is actually pretty damn nice in normal mode and almost luxury like in comfort.
Looks fine other than it’s wet and has other people’s rubber on it. You’re gonna find out that the Indy 500 is not a track tire. So when you push really really hard, it’s gonna get really greasy and loose very quickly.
that's just a Firestone employee doing their upsell activity - same reason why the Jiffy Lube clowns like to tell you that you are overdue for transmission or brake fluid service.
