Tires BFGoodrich or Cooper
For what it's worth , I run the 245x40x18 BFGoodrich g-force on my GTI. They fit fine on the stock wheel, they don't rub, speedo is off by like 2mph.
I ran a set of ST Maxx tires on my last 4runner and LOVED them.
Tires I went with BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S when I replaced the OEM rubber. They work very well in the dry and wet. I change to Blizzak's for winter time.
Gona have to second the KO2 good in snow, mud, dirt, slick rock, quiet in pavement, look aggressive, priced well, and you can put a lot of miles on them.
I have the cooper discoverer atw tires on my truck. They are excellent and have 80k tread warranty. They are not quite as good stopping as the Michelin xice tires on my wife's vehicle but miles better than mud and snow tires people drive around with here in the winter.
I can’t speak for the Falken tires but I have Cooper Discoverer A/T’s and they’re amazing! had em for a year now and they still look brand new
All-season Cooper CS5 Ultra in 225/45-17 work great in wet, comfy with poopy handling. Here on 7.5" wide wheels.
I have the BFGoodrich's linked in this thread on the M3, and they are great. Decent grip, great wet weather pattern, and decent life. Would buy again.
When I picked up a set of wheels a few years ago, they had half life G-Force Comp-2 all seasons on them, so I just used those for half a season. 225/45/17 of those were quicker than 205/55/16 Hankook RS3 autocross tires that were probably heat cycled out but had tread left. Point is, those BFGs aren't terrible and the sidewall was stiff enough not to be rolling over.
Cooper has had a consistent track record of balance/wear/behavior issues for all of us over the last couple of years.
