Tires Achilles or Giti

I like Achilles but not sure they still make them. Best cheapest tire that stretches really well.

I live in Utah and have Giti Champiro tied on my Kia Rio. They are very good tires, ride well, and are somewhat quiet. They are as good as Hankooks or Goodyear. The are somewhat lacking in ice but nonetheless really good tires.

I put about 10 laps on a set of Achilles all seasons on stock power at my last drift event and the tires still look new. I had heard bad things about Achilles but so far so good for me.

Achilles tires are really lightweight and can take some abuse

I had gotten some Achilles Desert Hawk UHP tires, they were really good for the price and held up a good while.

If you’re looking for a good budget tire, have a look at the Achilles atr sport 2 tires. Got a set last summer and they grip awesome.

Achilles ATR Sport 2 aren’t too far off but I’ve only seen the Federals in photos since they are scarce here in NZ

Just picked up a 2021 Tiguan SE, of course equipped with Giti\u2019s. So far in 15 miles of driving, they have a little road noise compared to my Bridgestones currently on my Alltrack

Giti tires, at least here in the US, I thought we’re a VW OE thing. Not a very good tire when new, definitely hasn’t gotten better with age.

Back in Dec 2022 I bought a new set of Giti E1 tires from a reseller and got them installed with alignment. The tires felt slippery in the wet even after 3 months of usage. I could feel the rear of the car sliding out even when doing 30-40km/h on a wet right bend.
