I'm running the achilles atr sport 2s. These are a cheap tire and won't compare to a michelin or conti but they're pretty good for the price. I have about 30k miles on them, they got me through utah mountain winters, and I've been running -2.5 degrees of camber all around. So for the money they did their job.
I have put General Altimax tires on my older hatchback and think they're pretty good.
Nokian (any of their winters), Blizzaks (any of their winters), michelin x-ice or General Artic winter tires are the 4 brands that I stick to for winter tires. Nokian is hands down the best, Blizzaks and Michelin are a real close 2nd and 3rd and the generals are a solid budget tire that I used to run on my 240sx in ottawa way back in day. (I currently run General Grabbers on my pickup and they are better than the bfgoodrich that are nearly 100$ more a tire).
I currently have General Altimax Arctic, studded, on my 2013. So far they have been great, but we will see how they go in deeper snow.
I ran them on three cars. They are my favorite Budget tire they stretch well and look good stretched. I have never had them lose air on me. They are a little louder than some tires I think but not by much. I have them on my GTI right now and can't say enough for the price of them.
Achilles atr are great and stretch very well for the price. Also running federals now but they run a lil wide
I run Achilles atr sport 2s on everything super cheap pretty good grip on dry. Could be better in the wet but even in the rain in my 350z with no driver aids I’ve never once felt unsafe due to tires
Hitting 30k on my set on my 2015 Mazda6 rotated at every oil change (7k miles). Go ahead and pay less. You aren't cheaping out.
So I’ve had the ATR Sport 2’s on my car for 8000 miles. For people saying that you won’t get good tread wear out of them; they’re plain wrong. My only complaint is the tire noise but considering the price I won’t complain it’s not that bad with music on.
