Timing belt OEM Subaru or Gates
We use Gates belts in the commercial space, they're good quality.
been on my car for a few years with no complaints.
The previous Gates belt looked completely fine, and probably could have lasted another 10 years.
I actually ordered an oem sti timing belt and have had no issues.
I have always had good luck with gates belts and they have always looked good when I replaced them too. 70-80k belts looking almost new.

I've been using a Gates belt on my weekend toy for the past 5,000 hard, abusive miles with no catastrophic failure. I did have their water pump fail internally in under 1,000 miles. Replaced with Subaru OEM.
I used a Gates belt that the marks were off last fall.
I've had gates belts do that in 20k.
They want to charge me $2600 for a new timing belt, and they will also replace other belt and water pump. But $2600?! What the….
