I drove one for a long time. Easy and cheap to repair, and there was a huge (now dwindling) aftermarket. Yup, Koni adjuatable struts in a ~2500lb econo-box made those handle better than they had any right to.

Pros: easy and cheap to repair
Vehicle: Dodge Neon

I am running Str.t with my Pro Kit. Been on them now for about 3 weeks and love the car! Handles very well and it is not harsh.

Pros: handles very well, not harsh

KONI Strut assembly

After several months I'm very happy with the ride. Smooth yet still a sporty ride (handles the curves) and the car actually lowered itself a bit more once everything settled. 100% recommend.

Pros: smooth, sporty ride
Part number: 8750-8050

Yeah, I just installed some with H&R sport springs. The ride is certainly an improvement over stock. It's only been a few days but I am liking these koni.

Pros: improvement over stock

Sachs Strut assembly

I just have to say it's odd having suspension again. I didn't realize just how gone my suspension really was. I was so used to a stiff ride that now I feel like I'm floating around on a hovercraft. Strange.

Pros: having suspension again
Cons: stiff ride before
Mileage: 175000 km

Sachs Strut assembly

Monroe != OEM. OEM is Sachs I believe. In actuality, Sachs OEM is probably better quality than any aftermarket manufacturer short of a full motorsports setup.

Pros: better quality than aftermarket
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Yeah, New Konis Note: I am replacing my Strut Housings completely ,but you may choose to just replace your cartridges if you have the Struts that allow new cartridges to be used.

Pros: New Konis

Since you mention winter...I would stay away from the STR.T line. I bought them a few years ago for my Passat and after the first winter the things started to rust. The problem is the paint; it's garbage - I don't think they were primed, just sprayed orange. Maybe it's a cost-savings area but after the first winter the paint was flaking all over and after the second there was little paint left and heavy surface rust (big time pitting) everywhere.

Cons: paint is garbage, heavy rust
