Strut assembly Bilstein or Sachs

Bilstein Strut assembly

IMHO, Bilstein struts are better than OEM Sachs and Boge struts. The units have a lifetime warranty, and are a great replacement!

Pros: lifetime warranty, great replacement

Bilstein Strut assembly

If you can get Bilsteins for less than OEM struts..grab that quick! Bilsteins are true lifetime parts..I\"ve run sets well over 125K miles and they were just as firm as the day I installed 'em!

Pros: firm, lifetime parts
Mileage: 201168 km

At about 75000 miles, I replaced my rear struts with Bilstein HD struts. Let me tell you, 90% of my handling woes were the rear struts being dead. I haven't replaced the fronts yet.

Pros: massive difference, improved handling
Mileage: 75000 km

Bilstein Strut assembly

I used Neuspeed SofSport springs on the front with Bilstein HD struts. The drop is minor and ride quality is good for daily driving.

Pros: good ride quality
Cons: minor drop

Bilstein Strut assembly

I replaced the front struts (bilistine B4 standard stock replacements) and front strut mounts/bearings and ball-joints. It's annoying that I'd already replaced all this stuff once but it was old and dead and needed replaced again.

Cons: old and dead
Vehicle: Volkswagen Scirocco
