Spark plug Denso or BERU

Denso Spark plug

Spark plugs are simple too, just need the proper sockets and swivels. Took me about 45 minutes. That middle plug on passenger side is the toughest, but twisting boot 180 degrees and pulling it out from the front made it a breeze!

Pros: simple, easy to install
Cons: middle plug toughest

Denso Spark plug

If you doing the spark plugs do the coils too. For the spark plugs use Denso 3499 (about 15 dollars each), for the coils use Denso 673-1310, (about 50 dollars each).

Denso Spark plug

i just put the densos in my '17 alltrack with a stage 1 tune and they run noticeably smoother than stock. i gapped them to 0.026" before install. it didn't seem like plugs would be that important for a stage 1 tune so i've been surprised.

Pros: runs noticeably smoother

Denso Spark plug

Bought some Denso 3450 Irdium plugs online. After reading about counterfits. I decided to test mine.

All are gapped .43 for the OEM spec for a 2014 Nissan Xterra. I measured the Irdium electrode tip which is 0.7mm and appears blue

Pros: gapped to OEM spec
Cons: potential counterfeit risk
Vehicle: Nissan
Part number: 3450

Denso Spark plug

Yes! I had a set of iridium spark plugs bought off Amazon that were counterfeit! They were denso but I didn’t discover it till about 40k miles later when I had a misfire. Pulled plugs and they were toast… first set lasted 120k and looked fine..

Cons: plugs were toast, misfire
Mileage: 64373 km
