at 100k km, I replaced (all Bosch) Plugs , Coils, starter, battery, voltage regulator (40).
So new Bosch plugs and red-top coils seemed worth the $109. Old spark plugs were pretty crusty, which made me feel better about doing it.
FWIW, if you don't have Bosch, BERU, Bremi, or NGK plugs/coils and have store brand stuff, I stop diagnostic work until you get OE grade stuff put in there. BMW's don't like the Zone/ebay for ignition parts in my experience.
Those look great last time I did mine they were all carboned up but I was at 300k but definitely made a difference in Fuel economy and a little less sluggish
I’ve owned my truck for a year now and just decided to take out the spark plugs to see how old they were… mfs were the original factory plugs 14 years old and ran for 246k miles.. basically got a brand new truck now haha
Yeah can go wrong with acdelco. I run Bosch in my 93 4.3
But otherwise, Bosch FLR8LDCU+.
I found Bosch platinum plugs misfired intermittently on GM v8s with the optispark distributor despite being identical to the Delcos.
Lesson learned: DO NOT EVER EVER EVER USE BOSCH PLATINUM (STANDARD TIP) SPARK PLUGS IN YOUR VR6 ENGINE.... THEY JUST DON'T WORK!
If you use anything but OEM plugs in a stock white block, well just don't do that. Also Bosch Platinum, great for having to pull your head and find out what the center of the plug did to your engine
