I have 5100s on my Tacoma and they made a great replacement to my OEM shocks. Kept it at factory height. Less nose dive when braking makes all the difference to me.

Pros: less nose dive

I replaced mine around 130k on my 2015 with a pair of Bilstein 5100s, I would have done it way sooner if I knew how much of a difference it would make.

Pros: significant improvement
Vehicle: Ford
Mileage: 130000 km

you can always put bilsteins on yourself (not too hard, put the 5100s and lift spacers/ blocks ((if off-roading, do not use front spacers, you will get coil bucket contact and a proper lift may be more expensive but its better on your performance and ball joints, i am mostly highway / town travel)) and it was done within a weekend with rental tools from the auto store).

Pros: not too hard
Cons: coil bucket contact
Vehicle: Suzuki
Mileage: 240000 km
Part number: 5100S

I made my own poor man's B12 kit! Except mine is now complete with badged housings and early top mounts. No bump stops in the front and vestigial foam stops in the back. I went mild on the cutting. The rears could go up a lot or down a little without cutting. Excited to see how she sits. Took some before measurements for what it's worth.

Pros: complete with badged housings
Cons: no bump stops in front

Sachs Shock absorbers

It is quite a hassle to change the fronts (the rear shocks however are a joke to change) so I would personally just go with the OEM = Sachs--as I did two months ago--if you can afford it and/or save up for it.

Pros: OEM quality, easy rear installation
Cons: hassle to change fronts
Vehicle: BMW

Sachs Shock absorbers

Vehicle: BMW

I have a 2020 BRZ with SACHS performance shock absorbers. I’ve been having a rough ride. Subaru service center said the front struts are weak

Cons: rough ride, weak front struts
