Koni Special Active shocks are really good on these cars if looking for a fast road/light track set up. I previously put them on a 993 so opted to get them on the 996 too.
Koni Orange (STR.T) works fine with Voghtland springs and is not overly expensive.
Seriously though, I have Bilsteins on both my Track Car and my Jeep, and love them.
Bilstein. Worth every penny.
Bilsteins are hands down the best. Well worth the cost.
bilsteins are the best. if I did it over again, I would use bilsteins but they were 3 times the cost
You should go with bilstein 6112 in the front and 5100 in the rear. You can do 5100s in the front if you are budget limited. The pistons in the 6112 are thicker and drive a lot smoother.
Go Bilstein 5100 soft (no added weight rating) with zero lift.
I have Bilstein 6112’s right now but am switching over to the Dobinsons MMR as hundreds of miles of washboard roads have definitely taken their toll.
The original ones where blown at 60k miles. Going with Bilstein Sports.
