Rating 5.0

I tried several different combinations of filter and oil on a 4.0 with 180k. Decided to give T6 and a WixHD filter and everything has been amazing since. Almost all of the little issues seem to have disappeared since I switched.

Pros: amazing, issues disappeared
Mileage: 180000 km

OEM Toyota Oil filter

This Yaris basically ruined me WRT engines/serviceability. It has a tiny engine bay yet nothing is in the way of anything else, there's plenty of room to work and you can change the battery or a headlight bulb in a couple minutes. I mean, look how the oil filter is just right there under the 2nd intake runner (and pointing down). That's the starter next to the oil filter, comes out with two bolts.

Pros: easy to service, plenty of room
Vehicle: Toyota Yaris

OEM Toyota Oil filter

Original Toyota is the only way to go, try one, you can see and feel the quality difference, they even come with an "o" ring instead of the flat gasket others use and it is PRE-LUBED!

Pros: high quality, pre-lubed
Vehicle: Toyota

Wix Oil filter

Went ahead and swapped out the factory fill oil after a few hundred miles. I heard they use a synthetic blend so it had to go. Went with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-20 and a Wix HD filter. Oil changes are so easy on these.

Pros: easy oil changes
Vehicle: Jeep

Wix Oil filter

and get a Wix filter or some mid level filter. dont buy the cheapest one out there. 9-15 dollars is about how much you want to spend on a filter. But it works great.

Pros: works great
Cons: dont buy cheapest one
