Oil filter Wix or Motorcraft

Personally, I just go ahead and spend the few extra bucks on wix XP.

Wix filters are high quality and affordable, usually get those on amazon.

I use a good filter I use Wix XP.

Oil changes are simple, 7 quarts of Mobil 1 ESP X2 oil, quality filter - I like Wix.

Penzoil ultra platinum with a Motorcraft oil filter.

My feeling is pick any reputable fully synthetic oil and stick to it. Make sure to change more sooner than later.

But my feeling is the filter makes all the difference some of those OE spec aftermarket are not as much OE spec. The Motorcraft filter has specific bypass valves that allow optimal oil pressure when you need it. This is crucial for a healthy 5.0 coyote motor.

Swapped the oil filter with the recommended Wix oil filter

I use 5W-30 Mobil 1 synthetic oil in it with Wix filters.

The car runs smoother, burns less oil, idle feels quieter, oil comes out less dirty and overall, the car just feels better.

I supplied my own oil filter, a Wix 57002 for my 2020 6.

The car takes a different oil filter (wix 57170). The filter housing has a center structure coming out of it that slides in the bottom of the filter (to keep it in place?) and the new filter doesnt have that. I sat there with a dremel for 2 hours and made the new filter fit. Success, but its still leaking the same amount of oil.
