I've used nothing but Fram on my 16 forester 2.5i. Just hit 102k miles. I change the oil and filter every 3-4k and have never had an issue.

Pros: no issues, long-term reliability
Mileage: 164153 km

I still prefer to use the Fram Tough Guard TH3614 bc the grip tip. Makes it easier to remove.

Honda filters are just relabeled FRAM Orange can filters. I step it up and use FRAM Ultra synthetic. Same particulate filtration but better quality and synthetic media.

Pros: better quality, synthetic media
Vehicle: Acura TL

Fram Oil filter

The regular cheapo orange Fram filters are downright awful, but their Synthetic line of filters actually rate quite well in testing. I have no problem using the Synthetic Endurance filters in my cars.

Pros: Synthetic Endurance filters good
Cons: regular Fram filters awful

Fram Oil filter

Say no to fram filters. Keep this junk far away from your engines. OEMs like Mann or Hengst are cheap enough.

Pros: OEMs are cheap enough
Cons: junk, keep far away
