oil 0W16 filter I use Fram XG4967
Fram Titanium gets good reviews.
I don't understand why people are giving you a hard time for using FRAM, these filters in specific are actually pretty good and I've been running them myself for the past 40k miles (I only use them for 5k miles, though) without any issues.
It's fine. I just grab Fram TGs for ours as they're common and good for two OCIs and I never need a wrench. Rated at 15k minimum and I put 13k on them and Blackstone says I'm good.
Fram TG 7317 as it has all of the qualities that I need and none of the extra hype or price. I use it in my Honda instead of the 6607 because it has a centimeter more of material on it and fits just as well. I change it every other oil change so it goes maybe 12,000 mi and my car has nearly 150k without consuming any significant oil. So I think I'm good.
Fwiw, a lot of bmw guys have problems with certain filters that are slightly too long for the housing and compress/bow out. I think fram was the culprit on the n54.
I'd rather ram it then Fram it
I used to use fram for my beater even though it had bad reputation. Couple months ago, it finally happened. When I started my car after oil change, it SPRAYED oil not leak from the filter gasket all over my garage floor. Now I just buy a few filter at time at the dealer.
Never ever use Fram….use WIX or Purolator Pure ONE
Fram sucks. Wix is the gold standard, and Purolator isn't bad either. You can do your own research, but what ultimately makes the difference is the total surface area of the filter medium and the size of particulate it's rated to filter (the smaller the better). Fram filters might as well be a pasta strainer for all that they catch.
