Oil filter Bosch or VALVOLINE

$0 because e-Tron however, on the A5 2.0T; I’m paying $50 for oil (Valvoline full synth) and $16 for the oil filter…but I own all the tools and use my employee discount.

You could do another oil and filter change to see if it was that or if the oil was just a coincidence.

OEM Mahle/Mann are best. Next best is the higher end Bosch filters.

Yes, the Bosch 3300 is correct for your car. I just used exactly that one for my oil change a few weeks ago.

I've been using Castrol high mileage 5w-30 lately with Bosch oil filters. I suspect I don't actually have the one I wanted, just the Bosch model fits my V. I think their premium line is supposed to be similar to the Filtech design. I added the appropriate amount of Marvel Mystery Oil to the pan about 100 miles ago. I haven't been calculating mpg, but notice the b20 engine runs smoother.

I use Mobil one and a Bosch filter on my 18 turbo. It's the same thing I use on every car I've ever owned.

Bosch filters are almost as bad a FRAM now.

After much searching and reading DIY threads, I didn't see any mention of springs for the filter. Your replies confirmed it so I was confident enough to throw the Bosch setup in the trash.
