Oil filter Bosch or Motorcraft

Motorcraft Oil filter

Personally I’ll ONLY use the manufacturer filters on my vehicles and I’ll look through the catalogs to find the largest filter that fits. I’ve been using Motorcraft FL1As on my pu for the 28 years I’ve owned it and it’s cheap insurance.

Pros: reliable, cheap insurance
Part number: FL1AS

For oil filter, I run the same one on my 302 and 390: Motorcraft FL-1A. I believe it is (or was, at least) made by Purolator and is my go-to for my old Ford V8s.

Pros: reliable, preferred choice
Vehicle: Ford
Part number: FL-1A

Bosch Oil filter

Kaufe ausschließlich Markenfilter, BOSCH oder Mann. Was anderes kommt mir nicht ins Auto.

Mileage: 15000 km

Motorcraft Oil filter

I use Motorcaft synthetic oil and filter. It's what the manufacturer recommends. There are probably 50 other oils out there that are just fine for regular driving and the occasional burnout. I just tend to stick with what the people who designed the engine would recommend over what someone on the internet does, unless there is a clear reason not to. And if you disagree, you do you.

Pros: manufacturer recommended

Bosch Oil filter

I would never buy a cheapie oil filter for any car, especially a European car. I have always insisted on OEM or Bosch parts for our VW’s.

Pros: OEM quality, reliable
Cons: cheap filters unreliable

Bosch Oil filter

Depends on year and where you are located. I would never buy a cheap one, since a Bosch is 10 euros, and I'm not willing to take any chances for 5 euros or less, which is the price difference with a ridex or something like that.

Pros: Bosch quality
Cons: cheap filters unreliable

Bosch Oil filter

bosch will do for a fester, for the more high performance or up market stuff i use mann or dealer and they aren’t that much more, i just had a 340 gt bmw in that ran the camshafts out of the head after 6k on factors oil and filter, the filter collapsed and sent paper fluff all round the engine so had to replace the cylinder head.

Pros: affordable price, good quality
Cons: filter collapsed, engine damage
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 6000 km
