Well I see you went stp which is not as good as OEM. I run amsoil filters and have no issue, I prefer amsoil to OEM because amsoil have tested at a 99 percent particles are filtered out.

Pros: 99 percent particles filtered
Cons: not as good as OEM
Vehicle: Toyota

VALVOLINE Oil filter

Have a look at Valvoline restore and protect which is also for high mileage vehicles. Also grab a few oil filters, as the product does such a good job, you'll want to replace the oil and filter, do a few good long drives in the first weeks/month, replace the filter, do it again over the next few months, replace the filter, and keep that for the rest of the year ( maybe check the filter just in case ), and you'll see just how well it does.

Pros: does a good job

AMSOIL Oil filter

With a good filter (Fram synthetic endurance, Purolator boss, Amsoil) and a modern high performance oil such as Amsoil signature and Pennzoil ultra platinum you are good for at least 17.5k with the Amsoil and 12.5k with the Pennzoil under 'severe' conditions.

Pros: good filter, high performance
Mileage: 17500 km

AMSOIL Oil filter

Every 4500-5000 miles with Amsoil Signature and Amsoil filter. Do it yourself, it’s not hard and you can be assured no corners were cut. Don’t go beyond 5000 miles. The 3.5L is really hard on oil. It’s cheap insurance.

Pros: cheap insurance
Mileage: 8047 km

AMSOIL Oil filter

I'm currently using Mobil 1 ESP 0w-30 and an Amsoil filter. 2024 Rav4 Prime XSE with 44,000+ miles. Several used oil analyses flagged high fuel dilution so I want the thicker Euro oil in there and also change it early every 5,000 miles.

Cons: high fuel dilution
Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 44000 km

Their most recent mistake cost me my entire vehicle. They put my oil filter cover on without an oil filter. This caused debris from less than three months to create enough friction to blow a piston arm in my engine.

Cons: blew a piston arm
