Ignition coil NGK or OEM Audi

NGK Ignition coil

Used the mitsubishi one’s in my 2006 9-3 - no issues in over 7 years of use. Used these NGK in my 2011 9-5 (they were $2 more per coil but had a 3 year warranty) Different engine with OEM being Denso but the NGK have worked fine over the past year.

Pros: worked fine over year
Vehicle: Saab

NGK Ignition coil

I recently replaced using NGK. Solved my random miss holding at 5k. I'm pleased with them. Not lacking anything. It added some pep to my step, for sure.

Pros: solved random miss, pleased, added pep

OEM Audi Ignition coil

I have used the R8 red top coils. I went back to stock coils after noticing a slight low speed low rpm hesitation. No misfire codes but it just didn’t run the same. It ran great when winding it out but I don’t do that all the time.

Pros: ran great at high RPM
Cons: low speed hesitation, didn't run same

NGK Ignition coil

I just bought my son three coil on plug ignition coils with the NGK box but country of origin, China. I'm not happy with any Chinese crap.

Cons: Chinese origin, low quality

NGK Ignition coil

Avoid Amazon if possible. I got fake NGK ignition coils once. I wouldn\u2019t order any part that is easily counterfeited off Amazon. Also got crush washers that were supposedly OEM spec, but they were made with the flimsiest piece of shit ever. I could bend them between my fingers.

Cons: easily counterfeited, flimsiest piece
