Ignition coil Bosch or MSD

All 4 coils (they´re now Bosch red color)

my first bmw was a 2007 328i and kept having misfire issues. Tried 6 new coils from autozone, still had misfire issues, returned them and ordered Bosch. Misfire was gone.

Whenever I need a coil, I try to find a Bosch blue first. For whatever reason they’re scarce, but I’ve always had good luck with them.

I also got my OEM coils for free but i do now need to replace mine, and will be going Bosch.

i ended up going with BOSCH 0986221072 ignition coils, no issues with stage 1 tune so far. Put almost 20,00km since installation.

Bosch makes a lot of the oem coils, so I wouldn't shy away.

Went back to old Bosch coil (which was not bad before) and no change.

Few months ago I got all 6 OBD1 Bosch coil packs and it changed nothing for me other than a slightly smoother top end, I still have a slight misfire at idle.

I replaced all 4 in my tuned stage 2 q3 2013 to red bosch coils. 1 of the red ones died last year.
