I have been worrying about this ever since I got my 2025 Crosstrek. These new headlights are much better for my lousy eyesight while I'm driving at night
The 2nd gen BRZ definitely had the best headlights out of any car I've owned or driven.
In the last year I bought a 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness and people flash their high beams at me all the time. I’m sure they are always quite shocked when I flash them back and they realize it’s just my normal headlights.
My Subaru Outback actually came equipped with laser beams - I know this because I commonly get people flashing at me to turn off my brights (and for shits and giggles I flash back)
The only issues I have had with my XC90 is headlight failure. Painfully expensive to replace but knock on wood that is the only issue beyond routine maintenance/wear and tear.
The other issues (and the warning) do not seem normal, but at least my S90L 2026 has condensation in the headlights from day 1 (literally). The user guide says it is normal.
i drive a 13 outback and the headlights are fucking PITIFUL. i drive with my brights on at night and i have never once been flashed
Since the night I drove my car home, I've been getting flashed by drivers while using my low beams.
I came to reddit to make sure I wasn't crazy. 2025 Impreza. I just got it and had it out at night for the first time last night. Same exact issues. Very odd cutout on the road in front of me. Very distracting.
I decided to Google the 2025, Subaru. Crosstrek headlights, because mine have these black circles that show up on low beams. It is so distracting and so annoying, and my low beams look so low, that straight ahead is not bright at all.
