Head gasket OEM Toyota or OEM Subaru

2005 Impreza 225K miles. Original head gasket.

I am no mechanic but my 2012 had a head gasket replaced at 166,000 no problems since , I am at 240,000

Subaru fixed the head gasket issue in 2011, modern Subarus are just as reliable as Honda and Toyota with the proper maintenance.

I've owned a 2008 Outback (sold in 2018 with 110,000 miles when the head gasket failed). The consistent oil problems are troubling. But the pros have outweighed the cons so far, so I keep getting Subarus.

Not even 6 months into it the head gasket exploded and the engine was completely fucked.

non blown HG ( Toyota at time set too low of spec for bolts. So many blew early).

company knew of head gasket issues and still continued to sell the design.

Ran it to 340,000 miles, it blew a head gasket.

I think the third gen is pretty worthless if it has a third gen motor given the head gasket issue.
