Thanks - I just ordered 2 5-qt jugs of the 5W40, less than $25 each and free shipping. We use this in my 2016 GSW and my wife's 2007 A4.

Pros: less than $25

I throw valvoline 5w30 euro spec (vw 50700) cause it was cheap on Amazon.

I think the Ravenol VSE 0W-20 is a good performer, based on these tests.

as a small engine mechanic at my shop we use the Briggs and Stratton 5w 30 for everything because all we’re fixing is snowblowers but for my personal machines I either use valvoline or amsoil

Back when I dailly drove my 05 I went 10k fuel and oil. Donaldson filters and Valvoline premium blue oil

Pros: extended filter life

Mileage: 10000 km

I run Valvoline VR-1 20w50 in my '74. It is straight Dino oil but it has a higher amount of zinc in it which solid lifter cars like ours love.

Pros: higher amount of zinc

So, I recently drove 2 oils: NGN Emerald 5w30 and Ravenol VST 5w40. I watched the oil temperature displayed on the route book display in different modes, but there were no problems with the temperature.

Pros: no temperature problems
