I use 5w-30 Valvoline Restore & Protect, I’m from the SoCal low desert region. Never had an issue, changed every 5,000 miles (nearly once a months cause I commute so much for work).

Pros: no issues, reliable performance
Vehicle: Mazda 3
Mileage: 202777 km

I've recently started using Motul 7100 10w40. Actually I'm due for my first change and should get under it today. It's the only pull I've ever used that actually made a noticable difference in operation. The esters bond and quiet the motor to a noticable audible level. It's designed for motorcycles though and with the unique properties of this ester based oil, I'm taking a chance with carbon build up, but the protection at higher rpms it provides gives me confidence under those conditions, which is where carbon is best loosened at too. Supposedly this burns fairly clean for a synthetic, but IDK. I'm changing at 3k miles to see how it looks. May or may not extend it out, but has felt great so far in this 135k mile motor.

Pros: quiets motor, high RPM protection, feels great
Cons: potential carbon build-up risk
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 4828 km

If you wanna try and solve the oil burning though, try using either Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30 engine oil at your next oil change (and use it for top ups as well) or Valvoline Maxlife 5w-30. If you find your burning oil while driving, it’s probably gummed up piston rings in which case use the Restore and Protect- it’ll take a bit (4 consecutive oil changes) but it’s the only off the shelf oil available that will completely clean the rings and stop the burning.

Pros: cleans piston rings, stops oil burning
Cons: requires multiple oil changes

4100 turbo light? It isn't JASO MA specified for motorcycles and wet clutches. No damage from oil. Probably just rough gear changing and maybe rough on the clutch plates but you should be fine.

Pros: no damage from oil
Cons: rough gear changing
