Engine oil Total or OEM FORD

Total Engine oil

Hey, op! I have the exact same car and I created [a similar topic a few weeks ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/peugeot/comments/xuw2qq/peugeot_207cc_questions_for_car_dummies/ir03z3m/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app/ir03z3m/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3) and decided to purchase [this one](https://www.endado.pt/p/quartzo-total-ineo-ecs-5w30-5l-total-217263) for my car, been using it for a few weeks and so far so good. :)

Pros: so far so good
Vehicle: Peugeot

OEM FORD Engine oil

On a side note, if anyone really wants to see what their oil change interval should be, just get an actual oil sample analysis done. Per the lab reports, I can get 8k miles on quality synthetics and still have a good safe margin for oil life.

Pros: good safe margin
Mileage: 12875 km

That'd be nice. I could just run the same oil in the Tig and my Golf TDI. 504/507 Total Quartz is quite a bit cheaper than the Castrol 0w20 and it's been doing great in my Golf according to the Blackstone reports.

Pros: doing great in Golf
Cons: Total Quartz is cheaper

I have a 98 TDI with 269k and I had an 06 TDI with 131k. I have dumped the unfiltered engine oil after each change into the tanks of both cars since I've had them (Beetle, 98, got at 230,880 miles). They burn fine.

Pros: burn fine
Mileage: 269000 km
