Engine oil PENNZOIL or OEM Honda

I run pennzoil 5w30 ultra platinum. ... PUP is great for direct injected turbo. Anthony (Dmann) told me that PUP 5w30 is the way to go in western PA

I've been using Pennzoil Ultra Platinum since the first change in my 2016. Prior to that, I used it exclusively in my RX-8 that made it to 154k on the original engine.

Original owner ran Pennzoil ultra platinum and that I got 289,000 miles on that engine and turbo before I had a shop rebuilt it.

Been running PU since with no problems.

Honda has their own which you can get from any Honda dealership (oil is blended by Idemitsu Pakistan). This is the cheapest, but still good quality and great value for money.

I’ve always done 5K Miles with synthetic. Honda CRV almost at 400k. Honda Element almost at 300k.

My 2024 Toyota Rav4 Prime XSE has had 2 used oil analysis tests done at 4k and 8k miles on Pennzoil Platinum 0w-16 and Eneos 0w-16. Both results showed both oils shearing lower and out of grade to a 0w-8 viscosity at 100C in 4k miles.

We had a guy trade in a 10th gen Honda Civic with the L15BE (known for head gasket failure mostly) that he filled with thicker oil. Started knocking like crazy when we changed the oil for the sale.
