Engine oil OEM Mazda or Lucas

OEM Mazda Engine oil

Although this is exact replacent, mazda OE still uses Mazda branded GF-5 which is exactly the same oil but branded Mazda....

Love these high molly low viscosity oils. Absolutely the best out there

Pros: high molly low viscosity
Vehicle: Mazda 3

OEM Mazda Engine oil

They should be using 0W20 full synthetic oil (not synblend crap). Its not going to hurt running the 5W20 in it instead but next time mention it at write up. Mazda claims benefits such as better cold start protection and better efficiency among other things.

Pros: better cold start protection, better efficiency
Vehicle: Mazda 3

Lucas Engine oil

I use Lucas oil in my motor oil for 1990 VW 1.6L Jetta diesel. I started using Lucas Oil because a relative of mine has been driving a large semi for almost 30 years, and he, like many in the trucking industry, swear by Lucas Oil. Judging by the parts per million of metal present in my motor oil, my motor oil with 1 cup of Lucas Oil, was wearing pretty well.

Pros: wearing pretty well
Mileage: 12070 km
