Engine oil OEM Mazda or AMSOIL

AMSOIL Engine oil

Fellow mu-X owner here! If you're thinking about upgrading from the standard Isuzu Genuine Motor Oil 10W-30, check out the ZIC X7 Diesel 10W-30 Fully synthetic. I used Amsoil Turbo Truck 5w40 too (10k km interval) but it's expensive for my Garage queen mux haha. Mobil Delvac1 5W-40 is good as well.

Pros: Fully synthetic
Cons: expensive
Vehicle: Isuzu
Mileage: 10000 km

  • Engine noise:
Rating 4.0

Engine noise is a little, well noisy, mine is less rumbly/vibrationy after I changed my oil and used Amsoil Hybrid oil. I can’t generally feel anything when the engine kicks on now, before I could definitely feel it every time it kicked on.

Pros: less rumbly/vibrationy
Cons: engine noise noisy

No, but I did keep 2 quarts of oil and a gallon jug of water. My Mazda Protege was notorious for burning oil and overheating

Pros: kept oil and water
Cons: burning oil, overheating
Vehicle: Mazda Protege

My 2016 GT350R has almost 25K miles and has never needed oil between changes. I use Amsoil every 5000 miles, sooner depending on track abuse.

Pros: never needed oil

Vehicle: Ford
