Engine oil OEM FORD or Motorcraft

my 2011 ford fusion oil cap has 5w-20 but when i put that oil, engine noise become loud. Only 10w-30 noise is lower and engine smooth.

I’m using Motorcraft 5W-20 Synthetic Blend in all my Panthers with 2500 mile change interval and no issues.

On a side note, if anyone really wants to see what their oil change interval should be, just get an actual oil sample analysis done. Per the lab reports, I can get 8k miles on quality synthetics and still have a good safe margin for oil life.

Ford is telling me to change oil at my Focus every year or every 15000km (9300 miles)

I was having some issues with shuddering when the engine warmed up. Put in Motorcraft 5w20 synth blend in my 2015 XLT 5.0 and it’s been running like a champ

I red-line 1st and 2nd gear when merging onto highways from the on-ramp. But then cruise at 100 kmph on the right lane. Gotta have fun when you can! Ensure that **oil** temps are good, not just the coolant.

found some FORD Super Duty Diesel oil 15w40.....seems to work pretty well! ford aka motorcraft

ive always used motorcraft diesel oil. 10w30 in the winter and 15w40 in the summer.
