I used lucas in my honda and will use it on my next change for harley
Personally I run Lucas oil in mine, not just my current zzr600, but even my older vintage bikes when I had them. It isn’t crazy expensive and is high quality.
I run Lucas in all 3 holes and my bike has been cooler, less noise and shifts smoother than it did when I got it and it had Harley fluids in it.
My wife's truck recommends 5w-20. Burns it like a mfer though. I run 10w-40 in it and have for several years. Still going strong. 01 f150. Do with that what you will.

The 2.3 liter engine on a ford ranger takes 6.2 quarts as opposed to my corolla that took less than a gallon for the 1.8 liter engine.
That looks like you dropped a valve. Yes Lucy’s oil will help. It will lubricate the chamber so you can take out all the pieces.
My mechanic added a bunch of Lucas to the oil, which he said might at least quiet it down, and it did. It's quieter now, but I can still hear it at idle.
I installed an oil cooler on my buddy's 370z and he dumped in oil and a full bottle of this and I just scratched my head
