I took my car to the dealer to drain the factory fill oil at 1400 miles and have Motul 8100 X-cess 5W40 oil added, they also did "Updated software level, performed 24R9 Recall"
After a vigorous break-in and draining the factory fill oil at 1409 miles, added Motul 8100 X-cess 5W40 and then drove on a 5000 mile vacation from Wisconsin to the Pacific Northwest and back.
My Blackstone Labs analysis reports always come back with great results for my Motul 8100 X-cess 5w40. I get an analysis of every single oil change. It's a great oil.
I've owned this car for a year and stuck alot of money into it and love it but have to part cause i just ordered a RHD rx-7 from japan so i need to make room in the garage and i have to part with my VW its sad but i hope i find a good owner. INFO: 46,000 miles ENEOS oil is good for 22,000 miles they say but i still changed it every 5,000 miles. i also used it in the transmission and i felt a difference just from the oil and will use it now in every car i own.
All of the 8100 series Motul oils are ester based. I will only run the x-cess 8100 5w40 in my GTI.
i have run 300v in my engine since 2005 when it was first built no seal issues
I run Motul in both my 8 valves, 5w40 year round, it's awesome stuff.
Switch to Motul and hear the difference.
I don't know what all you others guys are doing but I run 5w40 full synthetic Motul. Best stuff... the people who said they seem to burn oil should try 5w40 synthetic, many people have shown improvements with it. I run it to 10,000 kms or 6K miles and the stuff still looks good.
I used to use Esther based Motul products and have nothing but good things to say. I've since switched to Lubro Moly since it's easier to get locally and is cheaper.
