I once used the 20k mile oil, but changed it at 12k; my engine seemed to run nore smoothly, after that. I swore off longer oil change intervals and went back to regular Mobil 1.

Pros: engine ran more smoothly
Mileage: 12000 km

May get hate but I use in both of my is300s Shell Rotella T4 Triple Protection SAE 15W-40 Engine Oil the first oil change is nasty cause it has more detergent but after that you have much cleaner oil changes from that point forward.

Pros: much cleaner oil changes
Cons: first oil change nasty
