Engine oil Mobil or Shell

Can’t go wrong with Rotella T6. It’s marketed as a diesel engine oil, but gas engines love the stuff too. It’s just not great for catalytic converters, because it contains a high amount of anti-wear and anti-friction additives.

I would not hesitate to use Mobil1 in my RAV4. I think it's more important that you change the oil than the brand of oil. I have not used Amsoil in 15 years, but my experience was that it was solid.

Vc pode usar qualquer marca desde que tenha a especificação dexos. Se não tiver vai comprometer a correia e romper.

Tenho um 2019, uso Mobil dexos desde sempre a cada 10k/km e nunca tive problemas.

I use 5w30, I used to use Schaeffer but it's too expensive now so I switched to Rotella.

Oil consumption was the biggest issue when running 5w30. Changed to a 5w40, 10w30, and then got recommend 15w40 and oil consumption stopped

Shell helix ultra for mb’s spec, change when the car asks to. I’ve not had the car since it was new, so it’s pointless to spend extra money when it won’t make it last longer

I was running it in a VR6 engine, and couldn't believe how much extra chain and lifter noise there was. I put up with it for a couple weeks, thinking it might get better but it didn't, so I switched to Castrol Edge 5w-40 and noticed the difference immediately. Noise means wear, so I feel comfortable staying away from M1 for my VR6 engines.
