Engine oil Mobil or OEM Toyota
I bought a 2008 toyota yaris for $5.5k on fb marketplace. Had a prepurchase inspection.\n\nI love that car for the exact reasons you mentioned. It\u2019s been with me everywhere ive gone, is super cheap on gas, and just requires oil changes every 8000 km.
5-30 mobile one. Thats the only brand of oil I let touch my cars.
Personally I do 10k miles with Mobil 1 high mileage and a Walmart Supertech filter on all my vehicles and they're all well over 300k miles with no oil-related issues.
I would choose Mobil 1 Extended Performance if you're going with Mobil 1. It has the best addative package of the bunch. It's what I run because a 5Qt jug is $28 or less at Walmart.
I use Mobil 1 extended performance oil just to get that extra protection for a mere $3 premium compared to regular Mobil 1.
Mobil 1 FS is what I use on every car/motorcycle I’ve ever owned. Never let me down
Always have done 10k on my ‘22 RAV4 hybrid, which equates to every five or six months (did the same on my ‘16 RAV4 hybrid as well), and do the same on my ‘12 Prius C I’ve had for 11 years now. No issues.
Mobil 1 0W-20 wix filter 7500mile intervals. Due for 30k change right now. Honestly the oil I\u2019ve drained out so far still looks really good but I buy my Mobil at Costco so still relatively cheap to change.
If you are using ToyotaCare, they will push 10k/1yr oil change interval. If you willing to pay for every oil change, they don't care.
So I used Mobil 1 Euro FS 0w-40 in a 2025 Nissan Armada Pro-4x that has a 3.5L V6 twin turbo engine. I ran it for 2,000 miles and then sent in a used oil sample for analysis. I was surprised that highly touted Euro oil with all its various manufacturers spec had sheared outnof grade to a thinner 30 weight oil in only 2,000 miles.
