Mobil One 0w-40 is a great oil for these cars
I've used 7100 Motul forever... and I switched to Mobile 1 and im happy with my choice. Both 10w 40.
Castrol. Valvoline. Mobil1. Supertec. Kirkland Signature. All oils my 2016 CX-9 has had. Now has near 100k miles and runs as nice as the day I bought it. Just change the oil and filter every 5k miles and use full synthetic.
Mobil1…been running it for a decade ap1 supercharged S2K…flawless
Mobil 1 full synthetic. Been using it in all of my cars for years. No issues with burning oil or anything.
Didn't double check, but I bought [this](https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Mobil-1-Supercar-Full-Synthetic-Motor-Oil-0W-40-Dexos-R-Case-6,495272.html).
Mine arrived as advertised.
There's literally only one oil that is certified for use in our cars: Mobil 1 Supercar. Nothing else has the proper Dexos R certification.
Been using mobile 1 5w-40 Syn Euro. Fixed my vanos code.
My wife drove her 2008 Passat 2 miles per day for six years. As you can imagine, during these very short drives in winter, the oil became diluted - this was born from sever UOAs. So, I changed the oil every 1,500 miles and the oil and filter every 3,000 miles. Over-kill perhaps but based upon my personal expectations, worth the time and money. We used Mobil 1 0W40....which sheared to a 0W30 fairly quickly and stabilized.
Fellas, Don't bother running Mobil1 for extended period of time. I have done 2 consecutive oil tests on Mobil1 0W-40. One with 6200 miles and the other was at 4700 miles. Used OEM filters in both cases. Results: With the 6200 mile drain interval, the iron and the lead levels were up there through the roof! With the 4700 mile drain interval, the iron was within average and the lead was couple of points above the average.
