Engine oil Mobil or LIQUI MOLY
I run liqui moly 2040 in my m97 engine. According to my indie shop it performa better than the mobile 1 oem oil at high temps.
Any 0w-20 from a reputable brand will work. I use Liqui Moly, 0 issues.
I've been using liqui moly and never had any issues. The oil itself remains cleaner for longer
Liqui Molly by far every other oil causes ticking noise
Liqui Moly Synthol Race tech 10w60 doesn't.
Liqui moly from fcp. That's all my car is ever going to get and any other car I buy going forward. I trust it, believe in it, no issues here
In all seriousness, Mobil 1 5w-30. Ran it for 70k in my '14 and so far 54k in my '18; zero problems.
Mobil 1 extended performance 5w30
Owner's Manual recommends 5W40; but says that any oil that meets the VW 502.00 specification is fine. I've used that Mobil1 European Car Formula 0W40 since our two 2009 Mk5's (Jetta and GLI) were new, with no problems. Specifically zero oil use between changes.
mobile super 3000 w0-30 is what i would run if i were you
