Engine oil LIQUI MOLY or MOTUL
During all my oil changes, I’ve taken a sample and sent off to Blackstone for analysis.

Even after 12k miles, there’s still enough TBN left that I could have continued using it out to 15k miles.

Dissolved metals and other elements were still within universal engine norms so it wasn’t like the sample was abnormally contaminated.
Pero nag stay ako sa motul since 2019.
Oil needs to be specificly designed for VW. I use [LiquiMoly Top Tech 6200 VW 508 Spec](https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/vw-0w20-synthetic-oil-change-kit-liqui-moly-mann-538720?ads_cmpid=21759816943&ads_adid=170798399249&ads_matchtype=&ads_network=g&ads_creative=715097223081&utm_term=&ads_targetid=pla-293946777986&utm_campaign=&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&ttv=2&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21759816943&gclid=CjwKCAiAt8bIBhBpEiwAzH1w6Xei8JrrLq8MziCPaWxXnDYi7k66dFtY4Tj6tiqXtBQJa-l1PzNhoBoCp0QQAvD_BwE).
General rule of thumb for mqb cars is if it’s stock, run stock spec oil. If it’s tuned run 5w40. Personally we run Motul 8100 xcess gen 2 5w40 in 3/4 cars.
An oil change to Liqui Moly 5w40 worked wonders for mine. Still zero lifter tick after about 1500 miles. Highly recommend.
I run Motul 10/30 in my motor, helps the piston slap on cold start from the forged pistons.
Liqui Moly Top Tec 4200. I buy it from FCP and return my used oil in the same container and get 100% of my money refunded through their lifetime warranty program.
On the recommendation of my mechanic in reply to my quest to eliminate hot lifter tick in my 89K 1.6, Liqui Moly 5w40. Hot lifter tick is still nonexistent 1500 miles in.
If changing oil at 15k kms interval has served you well for 2 lakh kilometers, then I'd recommend sticking to it instead of switching to an oil with long service life. 30k kms oil change interval claim is a big stretch. I've used LiquiMoly 5w-40 with my Polo 1.2L TDI. Drove it close to or may be more than 20k kms over the course of 3 years until the check engine light came on. Immediately changed to OEM engine oil and for some reason the check engine light went away. Except with LiquiMoly, I've always changed engine oil at 15k kms or 1 year whichever was earlier. This is what my car's manufacturer recommends and I'll follow it even if I use LiquiMoly again.
motul 8100 is defenetelly worst oil you can use.
