Idemitsu zepro eco medalist advanced moly 0w-20. Basically the same thing as Mazda's oil.
You don't need to add any more additives to modern day oils. You said you will be using Mazda 0W-20 oil? This is one of the best 0W-20 oils on the market. It is made by Idemitsu for Mazda. It has very high Viscosity Index of 221. Most 0W-20 oils are around 170. This means it is one of the lightest 0W-20 at start up. This is what you want in the winter.
I currently use ELF Exellium NF, Motul is good too I was tempted to get it....you can also check out ECS Tuning, they sell Lubro Molly now, I think that's gonna be my next choice and I might stick with it. I've used Amsoil for about 20K miles and liked it too. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with Castrol Syntec 5w40 either, I've used it since new all the way till 60K miles.
I used ELF Excellium NF 5W40.
I personnally use Elf and love it, best oil I ever used so far.
ok i just did an oil change today. i put in Elf Excellium 10W50 Full Synthetic. anyways, the difference is awesome. much more free reving and "wanting to go faster" feeling. before oil change it felt tired and revs were lazy and engine had a 'fuzzy' sound when accelerating. anyways, all is good now
I use Elf, I switched over and won't go back.
Just started using it in my '03 3.0 (90K service). Elf 0W30. Notice a substantial increase in mileage! Hate the price, though...$13.95/litre CDN! And at 6.5 litres for the change...well, you get the picture.
That's just it.... I bet his iron levels were quite high on m1, just like everyone else is seeing.... which is why I switched to Elf.
i use the Elf Excellium DID 505.01-spec 5W40 in my non pd-tdi. no problems either.
