I run pennzoil 5w30 ultra platinum. ... PUP is great for direct injected turbo. Anthony (Dmann) told me that PUP 5w30 is the way to go in western PA

I've been using Pennzoil Ultra Platinum since the first change in my 2016. Prior to that, I used it exclusively in my RX-8 that made it to 154k on the original engine.

Pros: engine lasted 154k miles

Original owner ran Pennzoil ultra platinum and that I got 289,000 miles on that engine and turbo before I had a shop rebuilt it.

Pros: engine lasted 289,000 miles

ran Castrol 20w50 GTX in my 2.4 Naps Z D21 since new the mechanic who put on new head gasket w/215.000 due to a bad radiator said engine looked brand new inside

Used 5w40 castrol for most its life, but vw504 standard is good too. Using it now and the old man says it runs good.

My 2024 Toyota Rav4 Prime XSE has had 2 used oil analysis tests done at 4k and 8k miles on Pennzoil Platinum 0w-16 and Eneos 0w-16. Both results showed both oils shearing lower and out of grade to a 0w-8 viscosity at 100C in 4k miles.

Pros: oil analysis tests done

Cons: oils shearing lower
