Since I'm replying -- have noticed 0 oil consumption on my Mk8 in the last two years.

Pros: zero oil consumption

i drive 85% freeway so i change the oil and oil filter every 7500 miles using Castrol Edge 0W-20 synthetic oil since 2017 no vehicle issue.

Pros: no vehicle issue

I put Castrol euro 5w-50 made for BMW and it's 6-7 liters and change it every 5000km I have a 2003 330ci and it still runs like new

Pros: runs like new

5w40 VW 502 spec. Audi recommends Castrol so that's what I use.

Personally i never run ”GM” oil in my 95s anymore. I usually run Castrol edge 0-40

I ran this in my mk7 and my brother ran Castrol Edge Euro in his mk7. I have since sold mine but neither one of us had any type of engine/oil consumption issue and he still has with 130k on it.

Pros: no engine issues

Buy filters in bulk from RockAuto. Buy oil Castrol Euro Car from Walmart when it’s in sale.

Castrol. Bought twice from Amazon. Four litres for £19 the first time, £25 the second. Much cheaper than Halfords.

Daca e motor de la VW atunci recomandarile mele ar fi Liquimoly Longlife III, Motul 8100 X-Clean+, Mobil 1 ESP.

Reprezentantele folosesc in general Castrol Edge LL. Dar eu nu prea sunt impacat cu brand-ul asta.
