Engine oil AMSOIL or PETRONAS

PETRONAS Engine oil

Pros: cumpre o papel
Mileage: 66000 km

AMSOIL Engine oil

Based on my own tests, I found the AmsOil to be the best at reducing heat a few degrees. It's not cheap, but it's still cheap insurance, all things considered.

Pros: best at reducing heat
Cons: not cheap

AMSOIL Engine oil

I use Amsoil 20w50 in all 3. You don’t need a different oil for the trans. Amsoil is not cheap but I’ve been using it on my 03 FatBoy since new and have had no problems.

Pros: no problems, good oil
Cons: Amsoil is not cheap

I did have a 1982 diesel Jetta go 435,000 miles on oem int. shaft bearings. I had access to a lot of free Amsoil back then....so, that may have helped. However, I think it over-lubed the cylinder walls though. Rings weren't exactly what you would call 'tight.'

Pros: may have helped bearings last
Cons: over-lubed cylinder walls, rings were not tight
Mileage: 700065 km
