Brake pads WAGNER or OEM Mazda

At 75K went with OEM rotors in the rear and some Wagner QS ZD1108 ceramic pads. Then went with some Brembo 09.C306.11 rotors in the front with EBC Reds ceramic pads. I don’t track. Stopping power is about the same. I didn’t notice a huge difference. What I did notice, much quieter stopping and NO MORE BROWN BRAKE DUST. Yes, still get brake dust but not nearly as much. And when it collects, it’s more of a light white dust. Easy to clean. Super happy with the change. Even in the winter, stopping power is good.

Wagner thermoquiet here. Works perfectly.

My 2011 2.5 has 220,000 miles on it and it is the most reliable car I’ve owned yet. I bought it used with 45k miles and I have only replaced the tires once, the brake pads once, one engine mount, all belts including timing, and that’s pretty much it. The transmission still shifts pretty smoothly.

I’ve used Wagner thermoquiet pads and the cheapest wholesale close out rotor with good results.

Bosch and Wagner rotors and ceramic pads are my preferred brands. I put new Wagner front brake pads on the Frontier 5 1/2 years ago and they still have about 3mm left.

I took apart my fronts on my 2016 Mazda at 50k and was surprised that they were still at 50%.

Probably need to change the brake pads if they are uneven or glazed.

I also changed the rear brake pads to Wagner ZD1761 ceramic because the stock pads stink.

I've been replacing the brakes on my 2019 since it hit about 25k or so, rear have been done twice (I'm at 62k now and just did them the second time) and the front were done around 30k. My dealership outright told me Mazda brakes are garbage and these vehicles are not made for Canadian winters (regardless of what their advertising says). This new set is aftermarket so hopefully better but seriously my brakes have been so corroded it's unbelievable.
