Brake pads Textar or Mintex

I'm a Mintex Red Box fan, I also upgrade to AutoTech drilled/vented rotors since I drive like I stole it. 2009 Jetta driver.

I did them myself for $600, Textar pads and Zimmerman rotors.

The textar pads are great for normal and slightly aggressive driving. The initial bite is great compared to ceramic pads, although they do dust a lot. To me the trade off is worth it for great pedal feel.

I always use Textar - a boggo (albeit OE) brand, and never, ever have a problem.

I replaced both my front brake discs and pads a month ago and have driven about 1075 miles. On the passenger side, one of the grooves has gone but the other remains and I feel like its getting worse although not 100% sure.

Textar makes good pads but they get brake dust everywhere. They are currently the stock ones on my 23 m40i.

Well, I just put Textar pads on and am looking to swap them because they\u2019re super dusty and squeal with light pressure, so I too would love some recommendations.

I recently replaced some on a 981 with Textar and don’t recommend it. So much dust and some noise at low speed braking.
