The brakes are a bit touchy at first. However as time goes on and they bed in they seem to be better. They are very well suited to back roads/canyon carving.

Pros: well suited to carving
Cons: bit touchy at first
Vehicle: Volkswagen

I've driven both, and I do agree that the PP brakes do bite harder and give a more confident feel on the street. They (PP) feel bigger and more powerful.

Pros: bite harder, confident feel
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Yep... had that happen with my GLI. Stg 1 A6 GLI and the brakes really couldn't keep up w/the car. Upgraded them to A6 Golf R fronts and no problem now stopping.

Pros: better stopping after upgrade
Cons: brakes couldn't keep up
Vehicle: Volkswagen

So I mentioned to Mike at GiroDisc (who is great btw) that I was in the market for pads, and he recommended Raybestos ST43s, which get great reviews. So I went with them, but two events ago they put deposits on the rotors so bad the car shook like mad after a few laps. I still had the HT-10s with me, so I swapped them, they wiped the deposits off and I was back in business for the day.

Pros: great reviews
Cons: horrible deposits
Vehicle: Audi TT RS
